How does it works, session fees and everything you need to know:

I specialise in unobtrusive, documentary and reportage style photography combined with classic and contemporary portraiture to create a timeless photographic record of your children / family, which you can cherish from one generation to another.

Family session fees:

The session fee includes those held in London and within the M25.  I am happy to travel further, but longer distances will incur an additional fee to cover time and travel expenses.  A family / children session is a fixed price of £200, which will include photos of the entire family - adults and children together - as well as individual photos of each child.  Within ten days of the session, following the post-production and editing process, you will receive approximately forty colour images in 4" x 6" jpg size.  You will then have the opportunity to choose your twelve favourite images, which will be included within the session fee.  Any additional images will require a further payment of £110.

Unframed prints:

Your images will be printed using professional photographic archival paper to ensure they will last for many decades.  This guarantees quality and reliability and is perfect for printing many different types of imagery.
Image sizes and prices start from £15 per print.

Purchasing the post-production high resolution, print ready, digital jpg image file from your session:

The processed, high-resolution print-ready digital files appeal to those who have some knowledge and skill in photographic printing, or would like the freedom to organise professional prints for themselves.  I keep an archive of your images for 1 year from the date of your session, so offer this service until then.  Each image is individually processed, retouched and prepared for printing.  File size formats available are:

• 4" x 6"
• 6" x 9"
• 8" x 10"

Please note that size cropping is required for 8" x 10" images.  A USB stick of the individual high-resolution digital jpg image files, containing one of the selected file size formats listed above, can be purchased for £110.

Before your Session:

Cancellations or postponements:

CherishTree photography operates a three-day cancellation policy.  With cancellations or postponements later than this,  the deposit will be lost.  Cancellations made more than three days in advance of the session will not be charged, and any deposit received can be kept for a future appointment, or returned to the customer.

Payment:

Please be advised that a booking deposit of £50 is required a minimum of three days prior to the session, payable by bank transfer, with the remaining fee (£150) payable on the day of the session either by bank transfer or cash only.  Non-payment of the deposit by this date may result in cancellation of the booking.  For those who would prefer, the full session fee (£200) may be paid by bank transfer at the booking stage.  An invoice will be sent to you for the amount paid and any balance owed.

Clothing:

Please avoid graphic patterns, which can cause distractions to the image. If you would like to go for a few different outfits during the session that is absolutely fine. The most important thing is that you all feel relaxed and happy, and can be yourselves.

The weather:

As we all know the weather can change within minutes.  Unless the conditions are really extreme, we will go ahead with the session and divide the time between indoors and outside.

Length of session:

A session will typically last for approximately two hours, with a maximum length of no more than two and half hours unless agreed otherwise.  Following the post-production and editing process, clients will then receive approximately forty colour images within 10 days.

Where will the session take place?

Sessions usually take place in and around your home environment, where children are at their most relaxed, or in a nearby park, wood or a location of your choice.

The images:

My style of photography is unobtrusive, relaxed reportage, using natural light, with the minimum amount of posing.  With all family session, my aim will be to acquire a variety of images for you to choose from, and to take real images so that you can have a cherished and lasting reminder of that moment in the life of your child or children.

After your session:

Editing and processing your images:

After our session, we edit the images and work on a post-production ready to show to you.  All images are shot in colour but most images convert well into black and white.  Within ten days of the session we will send you an email so you'll be able to view images from the session.  You can select your twelve favourite images at the size 4" x 6", which will be included within your session fee.  For other images an extra fee is required.

Copyright:

The copyright of all the images taken at your session remains with CherishTree Photography.  We also retain the right to use any of the images taken for the purposes of promoting and advertising work both in print and online.  If you do not wish for us to use any images for these purposes please inform me when booking your session.

Delivery:

Once we have received your order and payment, your purchases will be ready for dispatch normally within two weeks.
